This surgery is the worsed Ive ever been to, receptionist are not helpful and communication between receptionist is zero. They dont deserve even one single star.
My doctor is great but never able to get an appointment within 3 weeks...
When doctor Whitton and Dr mechie were here could not fault one bit but since then gone down hill fast iv a chronic open wound with a bad infection and can't get in any were was suppose to be better when they merged but I definitely would not recommend and it's not just me read rest of comments I'm looking for different surgery
Had to give one star just to be able to review. Since my doctor retired (Dr Mechie) the practice has seriously gone down hill.Tried on many occasions to get an appointment by ringing at 08.00 only for the Reception to finally answer at 09.00 and then to be told there's no appointments that day and that i should've rung at 08.00, are you having a laugh? Now that they are part of the Lancaster medical practice it's got even worse. You ring for an appointment and reception tell you they've nothing for two weeks, while at the same time we're being told via the adverts our A&E departments are stretched to breaking point and that we should be going to our GP instead, are they having a laugh?I have Cardiac problems and had to go to another practice because (yes you've guessed it i couldn't get one at my practice). The doctor who dealt with me was very helpful and after sorting me out she told me to make an appointment with my practice nurse for a blood test. I pointed out to their reception that i doubt that my practice nurse would be available, (you've guessed it) i couldn't even get an appointment with the nurse at my practice. Well done Owen Road Surgery.
Got an appointment the same day with the district nurse. Helpful friendly staff. A credit to the NHS.
