Used to be great, now its shockingly bad. The food we ordered was pretty much indedible. The puri were cooked as if someone had described to the chef what a puri should be from a vague recollection. The result - 6 sad and lonely prawns swimming in what could only have been budget bbq sauce with no veg in sight. No idea why bbq sauce was used other than they didn't know how to cook curry. This mess was sat on something that could have been used to fill in one of the many pot holes around the city but should never have been served as "food".Avoid at all costs.
We used to love this place and have ordered meals from here since 1995. I looked on the recent 2018 Lancaster Council hygiene inspections and was dismayed to see they had the lowest rating of one star out of five. Will never order from Nice and Spicy again.
Terrible service. Ordered via Just Eat at 6.45pm. Rang Nice and Spicy at 8.45pm as still no sign of our food. Was told chef was late in and very busy. Food eventually arrived at 9.30pm and was just warm and damaged. Complained to Just Eat who tried to resolve it. Apparently I was offered 50% off the bill which I declined when I called Nicy and Spicy which was an absolute lie. They refuse to give any refund even though food was not edible. Will never use them again. Not interested in a sob story about lateness of chef or being busy, 2.5 hours for a takeway to be delivered less than 10 mins away from shop is ridiculous. A simple sorry and a guesture of good will would of been nice instead of blatant lies. Very sad as years ago they were the best in town.
I would give this zero stars if I could. Ordered a take a way and was told the waiting time was 45 mins, the order arrived after 1hour 15 mins and they also missed out one out of three meals.The main issue was when I rang to explain that a third of the order was missing, the girl passed me onto the manager whose attitude was disgusting. Instead of appologising he went into a rant about how he needs to quote give me feedback about how good his business is!! Reading these reviews I think not! Point blank refused to give me a refund and there wasnt any solution offered, begrudgingly they said do a want a replacement meal? Not a replacement if I never received it is it!! If they had said sorry offered to reimburse me and efficiently sent me a meal I wouldnt of left a bad review. The manager went into saying his customer service was impeccable!! I Think they need to call a meeting and a) find out what impeccable means and b) learn some lessons in customer service!Gone really downhill recently and other people seem to concur reading these reviews, they used to be friendly and efficient and now the staff are rude and unapologetic!! Been ordering from her for around 15 years - and now wont be again!Avoid!!
I used to love this place, their curries were amazing, but recently it's gone downhill. I can see the difference in the food, it looks like they're not marinating the meat on scewers, there's less good quality ingredients and much less meat. My son just got a prawn Korma and we counted 7 prawns in a sea of gloop. I won't be coming here again, which makes me sad as I've used it for years.
